The role:
As the Quality Assurance Manager - Meat Specialist, you'll ensure the highest meat quality and certifications, driving improvement and meeting diverse customer and market demands. Your role enhances Food Safety and Quality (FSQ), aligning production with company strategy, fostering compliance leadership, and contributing to GMP's Social Licence to Operate.
The responsibilities:
- Develop tailored quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures for meat processing.
- Monitor and rectify meat production quality deviations, ensuring certification compliance.
- Coordinate and manage HACCP, SQF, AUS-MEAT, Coles, Halal, and Organic Certifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless quality control in production stages.
- Conduct audits, address non-compliance, and lead training for quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, driving meat quality improvement.
- Prepare reports for stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and customers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in quality assurance within the food industry, ideally within the meat industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Certifications.
- Strong understanding of meat production processes, quality control methodologies, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
