Our client is a global investor and operator or real assets with significant AUM in China real estate. The firm’s expertise spans multiple asset classes including office, residential and industrial, along with potential portfolio/entity level investments.
The Role
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for China will reports to the President of the CHina business as well as the Global CIO to ensure active growth in AUM and ROI to the investors. Simplified, the responsibilities include:
- Originate and execute real estate investments in mainland China, including disposals where appropriate
- Partner with the Capital team to develop a strategy aligned to investor requirements.
- Continue to build the internal team of investment and capital development professionals
- Track record of successful real estate investments and exits in China.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate and different real estate investment vehicle structures.
- Proven skills in developing relationships with existing clients, including preparing for and delivering client updates.
- Strong financial fundamentals, with advanced degree or qualifications in business leadership.
- Leadership through influence, rather than command and control.
