ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time Junior QA Tester.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior QA Tester to join our team in the travel industry. In this role, you will collaborate with the QA team to ensure the quality and reliability of our travel-related software and applications. Your responsibilities will include performing various testing activities, documenting test results, and identifying and reporting software defects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and define test cases.
Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly test software applications, websites, and digital platforms.
Monitor and track defects using bug tracking systems, and effectively communicate issues to the development team.
Validate and verify fixes and enhancements implemented by the development team.
Participate in usability testing and provide feedback on user interfaces, workflows, and overall user experience.
Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and debug issues reported by end-users or identified during testing.
Stay up to date with industrys best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies within the team.
Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Proficiency in using bug tracking systems and test management tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think analytically.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear and concise feedback.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
In college and/or College Graduate
6+ months to 1 year of experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably within the travel industry or in a related field.
High School Diploma
PHYISCAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15lbs at a time.
Ability to travel to home office or other locations as needed.
